Yesterday, I attended a piano teacher workshop with Carolyn Miller, arranged of a Dozen a Day Series, Teach Little Fingers to Play More, and prolific composer of several piano pieces. Meeting her was such a delight. She said, "There is no better motivator than the student's perception of how they are doing." Getting the right piece to the right student at the right time can make the difference between keeping students motivated and loosing them to sports. I walked away with so much wonderful information, new ideas and new music!!
