The Studio Year

Monday, August 10, 2026 — Tuesday, June 15, 2027
40 lessons, Monday through Friday.

Optional lessons are also available the week of August 3–7 for families who'd like a head start before school begins. These are billed per lesson.

Please note: There are several days when school is out, but the studio is open — including Labor Day, Veterans Day, MLK Day, Lincoln Day, and Presidents' Day.

Please check the calendar carefully.

Tuition

Tuition is billed in 11 equal monthly payments, August through June.

Lesson Length        Monthly Tuition

30 minutes                $220

45 minutes                $310

60 minutes                $400

Your payment is the same every month, regardless of how many lessons fall within it. It's your annual tuition divided evenly across eleven payments — some months have five lessons, some have three, and the payment doesn't change.

Tuition is due at the beginning of each month. Rates reflect in-home instruction, including travel to your home.

Annual Registration Fee: $35 per student ($50 family maximum), due with your first payment. This supports studio operations, including professional memberships, recital venues, and teaching resources.

How It Works

1. Register by July 24 and share your preferred days and times.
2. I build the schedule based on preferences, location, and availability.
3. Invoices go out the week of July 27.
4. Your slot is secured once payment is received — first payment due August 1.
5. Lessons begin Monday, August 10.

Make-Up Lessons

A make-up is a rescheduled lesson for a session you've already paid for. Make-ups are scheduled alongside your regular weekly lesson, not in place of it, and can't be applied as a discount toward future tuition.

Make-ups are offered as video lessons: your student sends a recording of their prepared work, and I return a personalized feedback video. These can be done on your own schedule, and students keep the recording to revisit all week. If an in-person opening is available that works for both of us, I'll gladly offer that instead.

Cancellations
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for a make-up.

Illness
Same-day illness is the exception — always eligible for a video make-up. Sick kids should rest.

If I Cancel
You may choose either a make-up (in-person or video) or a tuition credit.

Arrival Window

As a mobile studio, I travel between homes and occasionally hit unexpected traffic. Please allow a 10-minute arrival window around your scheduled time. Lessons always run their full length from when we begin. Please also have your student ready at their start time, so they receive their complete lesson.

Parking
Please have a parking space available at your lesson time — driveway or curb, clear of trash bins or vehicles — so we can begin on time.

Pets
I love animals and am happy to have them around during lessons. For everyone's safety and focus, I do ask that dogs be secured or in a separate room when I arrive and while we settle in.

Scheduling Flexibility
Since I travel between homes, an occasional gap may open in my schedule. From time to time I may ask if you're able to shift your lesson slightly to help close it. Always optional, always appreciated.
